2017 Summer learn to row
Learn a fun new sport in as little as 10 hours! Come with friends or join us and meet new friends for a fun water activity. From basic terminology to rowing a racing shell, the summer Learn to Row will prepare you to enter our club program. Each Learn to Row consists of 5, two-hour sessions per week. Weeks with stat holidays will be 4 days and are priced accordingly.
Rowers should be turning 13 years old this year and in Grade 8. Participants must be able to carry a minimum of 30 lbs and be able to swim. Classes will be limited to 4 people, so registration will fill up quickly!
Grades: 8 -12 (Ages 13-18)
Fee: $200.00 (includes applicable taxes and Rowing BC & rowing Canada fees)
Times: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm OR 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm (for weeks with 4 days, a half hour will be added to each day)
Dry-fit sport clothing is best for rowing whether rain or shine. Participants should bring runners for the dry-land portion and flip-flops or crocs for use on the dock where it will be wet. A hat and sunscreen will be required too as well as a water bottle.
